    That was a test of the F-111 ejection seat. The plane was designed to fly supersonic at tree top so they decided to eject the entire cockpit instead of the individual pilots. Those that did in Vietnam were never found as no one knew where they ejected as they flew below even our radar.

    Actually this is an A-5 Vigilante the first Navy Supersonic Nuke bomber. the plane was very fast.

    The A-5 had such a tall tail that I was wondering if it was even possible to safely eject from one.
